Our Pride and Joy

Today our oldest son went to his Junior Prom. They are our pride and joy to say the least. A special thanks to my youngest...even though he was sick he agreed to take a picture for mom.

Fun Facts

This year I have my 20th Class Reunion. We are also celebrating my hometown's 75th "Pow-Wow". In honor of the event we are finding old photos. I stated my future plans were to go to college, become a nurse and get married.

Professional Women's Luncheon Sioux Center, IA

Today I had the honor of being the speaker for the Sioux Center Chamber of Commerce annual Professional Women's Luncheon. I spoke about the American Heart Association programs and upcoming Heart Walks. I also talked about my busy year as Mrs. Iowa International 2009.

Clay County Fair Queen Pageant

Tonight I made an appearance at our county fair queen pageant. The Clay County Fair is held every year in September in our hometown of Spencer, IA. This year's new queen is Kelsey Salton. She will go on to compete in the state fair queen competition this summer. Her older sister was the state fair queen a couple of years ago. Congratulations Kelsey!
